CHENG Nung-Hsuan was born in Taipei in 1983 and graduated from the Taipei National University of Arts in 2006.During his early works, CHENG made the conscious decision to move away from figurative portrait painting, by erasing the facial expression from his subjects’ faces to reveal their raw emotion. In recent times, through the unspecific creatures and figures with a theatrical touch, he embarks on a new series of creating a exploration of abstraction and expressive scene. His works have been exhibited in AKI Gallery, Taipei (2020), Instinc Art Space, Singapore (2019), Eslite Gallery, Taipei (2019). His works had awarded Kaohsiung Awards, Judges' Award(2006), New Perspective Art in Taiwan, Judges' Award(2005), Call for Young Artists, Judges' Award(2005).
