ARTIST STATEMENT
Today beauty is often defined by societal standards influenced by popular culture, media and advertising. These standards can include specific body types, facial features, and skin tones, as well as trends in fashion, hairstyles, and makeup. However, it is important to note that these societal standards of beauty are changing and evolving, and can vary greatly between different cultures and communities. In addition, the concept of "inner beauty" has also received more attention, which focuses on traits such as confidence, kindness, and intelligence. It's also important to recognize that these societal standards of beauty can be harmful and marginalize many people. Many movements emerge to promote self-acceptance, body positivity, and diversity in the representation of beauty, and to challenge traditional and proprietary standards of beauty.
